Troubleshooting

The launcher could not write its working files.

1. Go back through Setup process and confirm nothing was skipped, particularly the antivirus steps. A scanner that is still live will block this silently.
2. Restart the PC.
3. Run the launcher as administrator and inject again.

If it persists, move the launcher to a plain local folder such as C:\KRUSH rather than Downloads, a cloud synced folder or a path with non-English characters in it.

The launcher spells this Intialization Failure, missing an "a". Same error.

Either something is blocking the launcher, or the launcher found a process it refuses to run alongside.

Check, in order:

1. No virtual machine software installed, and no VM processes running. VMware, VirtualBox, Hyper-V, WSL2, Docker Desktop, BlueStacks and Sandboxie all count.
2. No debugging or inspection tools open.
3. Antivirus fully uninstalled, not paused, and Defender real time protection off.
4. No other anti-cheat installed, meaning Vanguard, FACEIT and ESEA.

KRUSH does not say which one it found, so work down the list rather than guessing.

The overlay could not attach to the game window.

1. Restart the PC.
2. Run Medal as administrator.
3. In Medal, disable the Medal overlay from the top left.
4. Enable Discord's overlay instead, then click inside the game to confirm you can actually see the Discord overlay in game.
5. Turn off Discord's legacy overlay if it is on.
6. With all of that set, press F2.

This sequence looks odd because it is: the point is to prove that some overlay can reach the game window before blaming KRUSH.

1. Reinstall the Medal overlay.
2. Check nothing else is drawing on top of it. Overwolf, SteelSeries GG, the Steam overlay and Discord's legacy overlay all do.
3. Check your CPU load. If the machine is pinned at maximum, the overlay cannot keep up with input. Close whatever is using the CPU.

Press F2 at the main menu first. F2 brings the overlay through and Insert toggles the menu afterwards, so Insert alone does nothing on a fresh session.

If F2 also does nothing, treat it as the Window not Found entry above.

1. Medal running as administrator.
2. Game in borderless, not fullscreen.
3. You reached the main menu or lobby before pressing anything.
4. Every other overlay closed.

1. Check the key has not run out. KRUSH licences count from activation, not purchase, and run continuously. See Licences and keys.
2. Check your hardware has not changed. If it has, request a reset, see HWID resets.
3. Check the status page.
