Loader and key problems

The download disappeared

Windows Defender or your antivirus quarantined it. That is expected for this kind of software.

Restore the file from quarantine and add an exclusion for the folder you keep it in. Without the exclusion it will be removed again on the next scan and you will be back here. Step by step instructions are in Antivirus and Windows Defender.

The loader closes instantly with no window

Almost always a missing Microsoft runtime rather than anything to do with your key. See Runtimes and DirectX.

The build never downloads

Your custom loader is generated after you submit your key at cheezit.life, and it downloads on its own once the build finishes. If nothing arrives:

• Confirm you submitted the key on the key submission page, not just visited the site
• Check your browser did not silently block the download
• Try again with browser extensions disabled

The key is rejected

• Check for a stray space at either end when pasting
• Confirm the key is for Disconnect External and not a different product
• Check the key has not expired in your Client Area
• Use a build generated from your key. A loader a friend sent you will not authenticate

The loader will not launch

Run it from the FAT32 USB stick or external drive, not from your Downloads folder or your system drive. See Setup requirements for how the drive should be formatted.

It worked yesterday and does not today

Check the status page. Rust updates frequently and the product goes to Updating while it is patched. When that happens there is nothing to fix on your end. Time lost does not automatically extend your key, and where compensation is given it is announced on the updates page. See Product status.
