Injection fails or hangs

Almost always antivirus. Not a running antivirus, a partially removed one, whose driver is still loaded.

1. Confirm every antivirus is uninstalled, not just switched off.
2. Confirm Windows Defender real time protection is off.
3. Confirm FACEIT, ESEA and Riot Vanguard are uninstalled.
4. Restart. Drivers stay loaded until you do.

Retry after the restart. If you skipped the restart in the original setup, this is your problem.

The loader closes instantly with no window

A missing Microsoft runtime, not a problem with your key. Reinstall both packages from Setup process, or see Runtimes and DirectX.

Run the Visual C++ installer even if you believe it is already installed. A damaged install and a missing one look identical from outside, and reinstalling fixes both.

The download disappeared

Defender quarantined it. Restore it from Protection history and add a folder exclusion, or the next scan will take it again. Full instructions are in Antivirus and Windows Defender.

The build never downloads

Your loader is generated after you submit your key at cheezit.life, then downloads on its own.

• Confirm you actually submitted the key rather than only visiting the site
• Check your browser did not silently block the download
• Retry with browser extensions disabled

The key is rejected

• Check for a stray space at either end when pasting
• Confirm the key is for Disconnect Internal and not another product
• Check it has not expired in your Client Area
• Use a build generated from your key

Rust does not launch after injection

The internal starts the game itself, which needs Steam signed in and running first. Close everything, sign in to Steam, then inject again.

If you use a spoofer, sign in to Steam first, then spoof, then inject. Spoofing before you sign in leaves Steam looking at hardware it has never seen. See HWID resets.

The menu does not appear in game

The menu opens on its own, so if it has not, injection did not fully succeed even if the loader said otherwise.

1. Fully exit Rust and the loader.
2. Confirm no antivirus has reinstalled itself, which Defender does after some Windows updates.
3. Inject again and wait for Injection Successful before doing anything else.

It worked yesterday and does not today

Check the status page. Rust updates frequently and the product goes to Updating while it is patched. Downtime does not automatically extend your key, and where compensation is given it is announced on the updates page. See Product status.
