System requirements

Exodus loads through a hypervisor. That is why it asks for more than a normal external, and why a machine that does not meet this list fails at launch rather than degrading gracefully.

Enable virtualisation, disable virtualisation based security

These sound like the same setting and are not. Exodus needs one on and the other off, and mixing them up is the most common setup mistake on this product.

Enable in BIOS: Intel VT-x, or AMD SVM. This is the CPU feature Exodus loads through. Without it the loader stops with VT-x/VMX/SVM is not supported.

Disable in Windows: Hyper-V, Core Isolation / Memory Integrity, Credential Guard and Device Guard. These are Windows features that take the CPU's virtualisation for themselves, which leaves nothing for Exodus. Symptoms are Please unload a third-party hypervisor and the loader rebooting your PC repeatedly.

Turn the CPU feature on. Turn the Windows features off. See Error codes for the exact fix for each message.

Remove your Windows PIN

Windows sign in security keeps Credential Guard alive, which blocks the loader. Go to Settings, Accounts, Sign-in options and remove your PIN and password before you start.

Before you start

1. Confirm the table above, including the BIOS entries.
2. Uninstall external antivirus. Disabling is often not enough.
3. Uninstall Riot Vanguard, FACEIT and ESEA.
4. Install WinRAR so you can extract the downloads.
5. Disable Secure Boot in BIOS.
6. Work through Antivirus and Windows Defender and Runtimes and DirectX.

Then go to Overlay setup.
