Not supported

Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. No product in the catalogue targets them.

Windows on ARM. Including Parallels on Apple silicon.

Virtual machines. VMware, VirtualBox, Hyper-V guests and cloud gaming instances. Anti-cheats detect the hypervisor, and most of our loaders refuse to run inside one regardless.

Windows Insider builds. Preview builds change kernel internals without warning and break externals in ways that look like a product fault. Stay on a stable release.

Product specific

The baseline is not the whole story. Individual products add their own requirements, and those are the ones people miss:

• Disconnect External needs SteelSeries GG installed and signed in, plus a FAT32 formatted USB or external drive. See Setup requirements.

Always read the product's own setup page before buying, not after.

Checking what you are on

Press Win + R, type winver, press Enter. That gives you your Windows version and build in one dialog.

For 64 bit confirmation, open Settings, System, About, and check System type.
