System requirements

Start with the baseline requirements that apply to everything we sell. Coffee adds almost nothing on top.

What Coffee does not need

This is the short list that makes Coffee the easy Tarkov option:

• No BIOS virtualisation. The Ancient products need it, Coffee does not.
• No Secure Boot change.
• No Hyper-V or Core Isolation change.
• No TPM change.
• No overlay app. No Medal, no Discord, no SteelSeries.
• No minimum RAM figure beyond what Tarkov itself wants.

Framerate headroom

The vendor's requirement is that your machine already runs Tarkov well on its own, ideally comfortably above 100 FPS.

That is not a hardware gate the loader checks. It is a warning that Coffee's visual features cost frames, so a machine that only just holds a playable framerate will drop below it once the product is running.

Antivirus

Coffee needs Windows Defender real time protection off and any third party antivirus uninstalled rather than paused. See Antivirus and Windows Defender.

Riot Vanguard, FACEIT and ESEA have to go as well.

Disk format

Coffee refuses to load on an MBR disk and says so plainly: Your disk format is not supported, please convert to GPT.

Convert the disk with the built in mbr2gpt tool, then switch the BIOS from Legacy to UEFI. Convert first, change the BIOS second, or the machine will not boot.

Checking what you are on

Press Win + R, type msinfo32, and check BIOS Mode. Under Components, Storage, Disks, check the partition style.
