SteelSeries is not detected

The loader deliberately waits for SteelSeries GG to be active before injecting. If it appears frozen at this stage, it is waiting rather than crashed.

1. Is it actually running?

Check the system tray, not just the taskbar. SteelSeries GG minimises to the tray and it is easy to think it is closed when it is not, or that it is open when it exited.

2. Are you signed in?

Open SteelSeries GG and confirm you are signed in to Moments. Installed and signed out is the state the loader cannot work with, and it looks identical from the outside.

3. Enable Start Desktop Capture

Turn on Start Desktop Capture in SteelSeries GG settings. Without it the overlay is not active, even though the app is.

4. Restart SteelSeries before the loader

If SteelSeries was already running when you plugged in the drive or started the loader, close it fully from the tray, reopen it, sign in, and only then run the loader.

5. Reinstall SteelSeries GG

If it has never worked, reinstall from steelseries.com/gg/moments/download and let the first launch complete before signing in. A half finished first run leaves the overlay component unregistered.
